About the farm

Welcome to the village of Laugu in the Leisi municipality on the island of Saaremaa! The village of Laugu is situated in the northern part of Saaremaa – from here you can even see the neighbouring island of Hiiumaa. Jurna Recreation Farm is a proud recipient of The estonian tourism boards highest accolade, the Three Cornflower commendation!

We offer accommodation in an old farm house built in 1926 and restored in 2008 and 2009. Our farm is steeped in history, as people have lived and worked here for centuries. We provide accommodation for 10 people over two floors and also have a separate log hut for 4 guests. So a total of 14 people can relax here. We highly value your satisfaction, privacy and safety. If you wish to stay at Laugu Tourist Farm by yourselves, we will not have other guests here during your stay.

If your group consists of two families, you will enjoy private accommodation where each family is allocated one floor with a separate kitchen and other amenities while the children can stay in the log hut, if you wish.

The farm offers rest and recreation in the romantic countryside just 450 metres from the sea. If you like, we can accompany you on fishing trips or berry- or mushroom-picking hikes and teach you to swim and sail. These activities naturally depend on the time of year and weather conditions, but in any case we will be sure to organise a great day for you, starting with fresh tomatoes from our greenhouse or strawberries from the garden – which you yourself can pick! – and ending with a relaxing time in our smoke or Saaremaa sauna. We can help you in your search for heritage culture sites in the area and other sights on the island.

The farm is a truly special place, like a small museum, with Saaremaa handicraft items on display like carpets, cloths and pictures. We also have a separate exhibition of old island tools used in the farm kitchen and the surrounding fields. If you are interested, you can even do some work around the farm yourself: mow the lawns, chop wood or weed the flower beds and vegetable patches!

Bring your whole family and stay a while – the master and lady of the farm look forward to having you.
